We Couldn't Look Away
We are not a shelter. We are a group of people who couldn't look away.
How we started
It began with one injured dog on one rainy night, and a handful of neighbours who refused to walk past. That rescue led to another, and another — and slowly, a WhatsApp group of strangers became a family of rescuers, foster parents, drivers, photographers and quiet donors.
Today we are a volunteer-run community that rescues abandoned, injured and vulnerable dogs, nurses them back to health, and matches them with families who will love them for life.
Our mission
Rescue every dog we can reach, heal them completely, and place them in homes where they'll never be abandoned again.
Our vision
A city where no dog suffers alone on the street — because someone always stops, and someone always helps.
Our rescue philosophy
- Every life counts. Senior dogs, special-needs dogs, shy dogs — everyone gets a chance.
- Heal first. No dog goes up for adoption until they're medically and emotionally ready.
- Match, don't move. We match dogs to lifestyles, not just to the first applicant.
- Forever means forever. We stay in touch after adoption and always take our dogs back if life changes.
The humans
Our network includes 3 active volunteers, a trusted circle of foster families, and partner veterinary clinics who take our 2 a.m. phone calls. Together we've rescued 7+ dogs and celebrated 1 adoptions.
